CM Dhami performs Yoga at Adi Kailash on IDY

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami did yoga at Adi Kailash on the occasion of IDY 2024, situated at an altitude of about 15 thousand feet above sea level, and invited Shiva devotees from all over the world to visit Adi Kailash. The Chief Minister said that the picture of the border villages is changing today due to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After the visit of Prime Minister Modi to Parvatikund Adi Kailash, a large number of devotees are reaching the pilgrimage places like Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, Kailash Darshan, Kali Temple, Vyas Cave etc. in Vyas Valley every day.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day (IDY 2024), the Chief Minister has invited tourists and pilgrims from all over the world to visit Adi Kailash as well as the entire Vyas Valley by doing yoga at the place of residence of Lord Shiva and has expected to promote local products. The Chief Minister said that today crores of people are benefiting from the invaluable heritage of ‘Yoga’ given by India to the world. On this occasion, he appealed to everyone to include yoga in their daily routine for physical, mental and emotional strength and also to make other people aware of it.

The Chief Minister said that the wonderful environment of Shri Adi Kailash and Om Parvat dedicated to Lord Mahadev, located in the remote area of ​​​​the border district Pithoragarh, full of natural beauty, infuses devotion, power and infinite energy in the mind. Gunji, Kuti and Nabhidang villages located in the lap of the mountain king Himalayas have the culture, tradition and heritage of Vyas Valley in their lap, while Shiv-Parvati Temple, Gaurikund, Parvati Sarovar, Vyas Cave and Pandav Mountain introduce the infinite energy of Sanatan Dharma.

On Yoga Day, the Chief Minister preformed yoga at Adi Kailash and invited pilgrims from the country and the world to visit Adi Kailash, Om Parvat and Parvati Sarovar. This call of the Chief Minister will prove helpful in taking the Manaskhand Mandirmala Mission campaign forward.

Inner line permit is available online

With the closure of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra since Covid times, the inclination of Shiva devotees towards Adi Kailash Yatra has increased. Visa of the Chinese government is required to visit Kailash Mansarovar, whereas since Adi Kailash is within the border of India, this journey can be done only on Inner Line Permit. Online permit has been arranged so that tourists and pilgrims do not have to wander for Inner Line Permit.

Route of Adi Kailash Yatra

To visit Adi Kailash, first you have to reach Pithoragarh via Tanakpur or Haldwani. You can reach Haldwani or Tanakpur from Delhi by bus or train. After this, you can travel to Pithoragarh by bus or taxi. After covering the distance of 90 km from Pithoragarh to Dharchula by taxi, it is mandatory to take Inner Line Permit for further journey. To reach Adi Kailash from Dharchula, you have to travel 80 km. Taxis are available in Dharchula for this.
