Kedarnath receives first snowfall of the season
The world-famous Kedarnath temple has received its first snowfall of the season. The snowfall has significantly increased the cold in the shrine. Pilgrims from across the country and abroad are enjoying the snowfall. Due to the snowfall, helicopter services were also unable to operate after noon.
Snowflakes Fall in Kedarnath Dham
The weather has deteriorated in Kedarnath Dham. Snowfall has begun at the Kedarnath temple in October itself. This is the first snowfall of the season in the temple town. Devotees who have reached Kedarnath are also enjoying the snowflakes falling from the sky. The snowfall has also increased the cold in Kedarnath.
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in several districts of Uttarakhand on October 6th and 7th, along with snowfall in the higher elevations. The snowfall also brought a chill. District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar has urged pilgrims to bring warm clothing and other essential items.
The doors of Baba Kedarnath will close on October 23rd
These days, Kedarnath, along with the pilgrimage route, resounds with the chants of devotees. Lines of devotees are constantly forming for darshan. Only a few days are left before the doors of Baba Kedarnath close. The doors of Kedarnath temple are scheduled to close on October 23rd for winter season 2025, but devotees are arriving in large numbers to have darshan before the closing of the doors.
