UCADA official dies after coming in contact with helicopter’s tail rotor

An official of Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) died a tragic death on Sunday in Kedarnath. The officer died after being hit by the rear rotor wing of the helicopter while boarding the helicopter. After the incident, mourning spread in Kedarnath.

On Sunday, at around 2:45 pm, the team of UCADA was returning after inspection at Kedarnath. Heli services are to start from 25 April. The DGCA team had done the inspection, the UCADA team was also returning after inspecting the preparations.

Three officers of UCADA and District Tourism Officer Rahul Choubey were present in the team. All of them were returning, meanwhile the officer was hit by the rear rotor blade of the heli while he was going to board the helicopter, which cut off his head and killed him on the spot.

It was reported that the deceased, Amit Saini, was the finance controller at UCADA and a resident of Haridwar. District Magistrate Mayur Dixit said that probe is ongoing the incident.
