Abhishek Sharma scored the second fastest T20 century for India

Abhishek Sharma displayed his brilliant form in the fifth and final T20I of the series against England in Mumbai on Sunday, February 2. Abhishek scored the second-fastest century by an Indian in T20I cricket at the Wankhede Stadium. The dashing opener completed his century in 37 balls and fell two balls short of equalling Rohit Sharma’s record.

Abhishek was in great form as he troubled the England bowlers. He played his strokes all over the ground in his brilliant innings. His century included 10 sixes and five fours. He completed his century by taking a single on the offside off Brydon Carse.

Meanwhile, Abhishek missed out on India’s all-time record. Rohit’s record was in danger in Mumbai. He had scored a century off 35 balls in a T20 match against Sri Lanka in Indore in 2017.
