Champions Trophy 2025: India to face New Zealand in the final

Powered by the centuries of openers Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson, New Zealand made it to the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy by defeating South Africa by 50 runs on Wednesday in the second semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Chasing New Zealand’s target of 363 runs, South Africa’s team could score 312 runs for nine wickets despite the century of David Miller (100 not out, 67 balls, 10 fours, four sixes) and half-centuries of Rassie van der Dussen (69) and captain Temba Bavuma (56). For the black caps Santner (three wickets for 43 runs) and Glenn Phillips (two wickets for 27 runs) were the pick of the bowlers. New Zealand had earlier scored 362 runs for six wickets with the centuries of Ravindra and Williamson and a 164-run partnership for the second wicket between the two, which is the highest score in the history of the tournament. With the semi-finals, the Champions Trophy in Pakistan has ended as the final will now be played between India and New Zealand in Dubai on March 9.
