ICC World T20: India wins low scoring thriller against Pakistan in New York

India once again registered a thrilling win over Pakistan in the World Cup. The challenge was to not let a team like Pakistan score 120 runs in the match played on Sunday in which team India was successful. This is a record win. Never before had India defended such a small score in a T20 International.

Rishabh Pant’s unusual and attacking batting. Bumrah’s dependable bowling and a economical Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya’s last two over became the winning factor.

India defeated Pakistan for the 7th time in 8 matches of the T20 World Cup. This match was played at Nassau Stadium in New York, where the pitches have become a nightmare for the batsmen. 5 matches have been played in Nassau including the India-Pakistan match. Out of these, 3 matches were won by the chasing team, while only two were won by the team batting first. India is also included in these.

During India’s batting, the Nassau pitch started showing its nature right from the beginning. Virat had returned to the pavilion. Rishabh Pant came to the crease in the second over. Rohit Sharma also got out in the third over. The situation was difficult. Pant started batting in his own style. 3 catches were also missed to dismiss Pant, but he knew that it is important to score runs quickly on the Nassau pitch, because batting will become difficult later on.
