Iga Swiatek wins Wimbledon 2025

Poland’s Iga Świątek has won the Wimbledon 2025 Women’s Singles title. She defeated America’s Amanda Anisimova in straight sets in the final on Saturday. On the other hand, Britain’s world number-5 pair also won the title in straight sets in men’s doubles.

Anisimova could not win a single game

World number-8 Świątek showed one-sided dominance in the Wimbledon final. Amanda could not even score 1 game against Świątek. She won the final by a margin of 6-0, 6-0. Animisova defeated world number-1 Belarus’ Arina Sabalenka in the semi-finals. Despite this, she could not give any competition to the world number-8 player in the final.

Świątek had defeated Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic in the semi-finals, Russia’s Ludmila Samsonova in the quarter-finals and Denmark’s Clara Tauson in the round of 16. She also won the first 3 rounds easily.

Men’s final between Alcaraz and Sinner

The men’s singles final will be between world number-2 Carlos Alcaraz of Spain and world number-1 Jannik Sinner of Italy. The final of the last Grand Slam French Open was also played between the two. Then Alcaraz won in 5 sets. Alcaraz is the defending champion of Wimbledon. He won the title in 2023 and 2024 by defeating Novak Djokovic of Serbia.

In the semi-finals, Alcaraz defeated world number-5 Taylor Fritz of America. At the same time, Sinner entered the final by defeating Djokovic in straight sets. Sinner has won 3 Grand Slams in the form of Australian Open (2 times) and US Open. He reached the finals of French Open and Wimbledon for the first time this year. He lost the French Open, but there is a chance to settle the score with Alcaraz in Wimbledon.
