Ind vs WI 3rd T20I: Suryakumar, Tilak Verma lead India to 7 wicket win
The third match of the five-match T20 series between India and West Indies was played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. To stay in the series, the Indian team had to win this match at any cost. The Indian team won this match by 7 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav, the number 1 batter in T20I was the biggest hero of Team India’s victory in this match. He was ably supported by Tilak Verma who remained uneaten on 49. Even after this victory, the Indian team is currently behind 1-2 in the series.
In this match, Team India had a target of 160 runs to win. But the start of the Indian team was very bad and both the openers returned to the pavilion cheaply. But in front of the counter attacking batting of Suryakumar Yadav, West Indies’ bowling could not stand up. Suryakumar Yadav played an inning of 83 runs in 44 balls. In this innings he hit 10 fours and 4 sixes.
Earlier, batting first, West Indies had scored a competitive score of 159 runs on the basis of captain Rovman Powell’s 19-ball 40 not out. Openers Brandon King (42) and Kyle Myers (25) got West Indies off to a good start with a 46-ball 55-run partnership but a brilliant performance from the bowlers led by Kuldeep Yadav (3/28) saw India come back in the match. Powell hit three sixes in the last two overs to take the team to a big score. He hit one four and three sixes in his 19-ball unbeaten innings. King hit five fours and a six in his 42-ball innings while Myers hit three fours and a six in his 20-ball innings.
