IPL 2025: CSK defeats LSG by 5 wickets; MSD wins player of the match

The 30th match of IPL 2025 was played on 14th April between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on April 14. Where the Chennai team managed to win by five wickets with three balls to spare, thanks to MS Dhoni’s fiery batting in the last overs. MSD also achieved a major feat during the match. He has become the oldest player to receive the ‘Player of the Match’ award in the history of IPL. Dhoni’s current age is 43 years and 282 days.

Regarding Dhoni’s performance in the last match, he came to bat at number seven for the team while chasing the target. During this, he faced a total of 11 balls. Meanwhile, he managed to score an unbeaten 26 runs at a strike rate of 236.36.

Chasing 167, CSK got off to a flying start with openers Shaik Rasheed (27) and Rachin Ravindra (37) putting up a half century partnership inside 5 overs. Impact player Shivam Dube remained unbeaten on 43 and along with Dhoni took the team to its second win in IPL 2025.
