IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians reaches number 2 with their fifth consecutive win

Mumbai Indians have won the second position in the IPL points table by winning their fifth consecutive match. The team defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs at the Wankhede Stadium. Lucknow chose to bowl. MI scored 215 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. In reply, LSG were bundled out for 161 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah took 4 wickets from Mumbai, he also took 3 wickets in the 16th over and put the match in MI’s bag. Trent Boult took 3 and Will Jacks took 2 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav and Ryan Rickelton both scored fifties. Avesh Khan and Mayank Yadav took 2-2 wickets from Lucknow. Ayush Badoni scored the highest 35 runs.

Lucknow’s fifth defeat

Lucknow Super Giants suffered their fifth defeat in 10 matches. The team has won 5 matches, so it is at the sixth position with 10 points. Mumbai got its sixth win in 10 matches and the team reached second position with 12 points.
