National Games 2025: Uttarakhand wins two silver medals in badminton, Karnataka and Haryana clinch gold

The Uttarakhand men’s and women’s badminton team made it to the finals of badminton at the ongoing 38th National Games, but both the teams could not win the gold medal. However, both had to contend did win silver medal.
In the final matches of the badminton team event competition held on Saturday from 10:00 am, Uttarakhand’s men’s team played against Karnataka and women’s team played against Haryana. From Uttarakhand’s men’s badminton team, only Chaynit Joshi and Dhruv Rawat won the doubles match. Due to which Karnataka won this match by three to one.
At the same time, Uttarakhand’s match was against Haryana in the women’s final, where only Aditi Bhatt won one match from Uttarakhand. At the same time, from Uttarakhand’s side, apart from Sneha Rajwar-Akshita Manral, Gayatri Rawat and Mansa Rawat lost the match in doubles. Due to which Haryana’s women’s badminton team also defeated Uttarakhand by three to one.
National Games historic for Uttarakhand’s badminton team
Badminton team coach and Lakshya Sen’s father Dharmendra Kumar Sen said that today may not have been a good day, but this National Games has been historic for Uttarakhand’s badminton team. He said that in the 38th National Games, both the teams have created history by reaching the finals.
Olympian Lakshya Sen said that Uttarakhand’s badminton team is in form right now. Uttarakhand has performed well in all the matches, but today the performance was not that good. In such a situation, we still have two silver medals. He said that he got the opportunity to lead the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand. This is a matter of great pride for him.
