New schedule of IPL 2025 released

IPL 2025 will start again from May 17. The remaining 13 matches of the league stage will be played at 6 venues. The playoff stage will be played from May 29, the final will be on June 3. BCCI gave this information on its social media handle.
IPL had to be suspended on May 9 due to tension with Pakistan. BCCI had stopped the tournament and said that the with escalations on the rise between India-Pakistan, in such a situation, organizing a cricket tournament is not right.
Will resume with Bengaluru-Kolkata match
The first match will be played between RCB and KKR in Bengaluru on May 17. The remaining matches will be played in Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The league stage will end on May 27. 2 double headers will be played on Sundays on May 18 and 25. That is, there will be 13 matches of the league stage in 11 days.
The match between Punjab and Delhi to be held in Dharamsala on May 8 had to be stopped amid attack alerts. This match will now be played in Jaipur on May 24. The venue of the playoff matches is not decided yet. Earlier, 2-2 playoff matches were to be played in Hyderabad and Kolkata.
How many matches are left?
74 matches were to be played under IPL 2025. 57 matches had been played till May 7, the 58th match had to be stopped midway on May 8. That is, now 17 matches are left. Of these, 13 matches are from the league stage and 4 matches are from the playoff stage.
Which teams have matches left?
Mumbai, Kolkata, Rajasthan and Chennai have two league matches left. The remaining teams have three league matches each to play. A team has to play 14 league matches.
