Paralympics 2024: Record medal haul for team India

The Indian team was expected to perform well in the Paris Paralympics 2024 and our athletes broke the previous record with ease. India has won 13 medals in the last two days. India has taken the number of medals in Paris to 20 and with this broke its old record in the Paralympics. Indian players had won a total of 19 medals in Tokyo. On the sixth day of the game, India won 3 bronze and 2 silver medals.

Sharad Kumar changed the color of the medal of the last Paralympics by winning the silver medal for India on Tuesday. It seemed that the gold of the T63 event in high jump was going to come in India’s bag but the American athlete won it. At the same time, star athlete Mariyappan Thangavelu won his third consecutive medal in the Paralympics. Gold in 2016, silver in 2020 and now he has won a bronze medal for the country.

India has won all three medals in the Paris Paralympics in javelin throw. After Sumit Antil’s gold, India’s Ajeet Singh and Sundar Singh Gurjar won silver and bronze in the F46 category on Tuesday. 30-year-old Ajeet Singh won the silver medal by throwing the javelin with a distance of 65.62 meters while Sundar Singh Gurjar won the bronze medal by achieving a distance of 64.96 meters.
