Roger Federer pulls out of Italian Open due to injury

Tennis star Roger Federer has decided to pull out of the Italian Open tournaments due to injury.
Making an appearance on clay after a gap of three years, Federer, who returned to the court, was out in the Madrid Open, after which he had announced to play at the Italian Open.

Federer had said that he would play in the Italian Open for warm-up and preparation of the French Open.

World number three Roger Federer, who made a comeback after injury, returned to Rome with a win at the Italian Open.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion, 37-year-old Federer, played two matches in a day getting past Borna Cornic in a tight three setter.

In the match played on Thursday, he defeated Sousa in round of 32 and Borna Coric in round of 16 to make the quarters. But due to injury and pain in the leg, he withdrew his name from the Italian Open a few hours before the quarterfinals against Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The former World Number 1 was visibility upset with the tournament organizers for making the players play despite wet tram lines on court.
