Vijender Singh’s next fight on November 22
Indian boxer Vijender Singh is now ready for his next fight. Now his fight will be fought against two-time Commonwealth Super Middleweight Champion Charles Adamu of Ghana. This 10 round match between Vijender and Adamu will be held on 22 November. This competition is being organized in the US with the support of the top rank of Indian promoter.
In this mega fight, apart from Vijender, there will also be competition between the top fighters of the world including WBO World Super Lightweight No-1 Jack Cottrell and WBO World Bantamweight No-4 Thomas Patrick Ward. 34-year-old Vijender is the WBO Asia Pacific and Oriental Super Middleweight champion. He defeated Mike Snider in July this year. This was his 11th consecutive win.
WBO Asia Pacific and Oriental Super middleweight champion Vijender had beaten Mike Snider in July this year to register his 11th consecutive win in his professional career. He has recorded knockout wins in eight of his last 11 matches and is therefore known as the Knockout King.
Vijender said about this match, ‘After great training for more than two months, I have fully prepared to finish the year with victory. This fight will help me progress towards the world title. I am confident that my first fight in Dubai will be great and I am excited to record another knockout victory. ‘On the other hand, Adamu has experience of 47 fights and in these 47 matches he has won 33. Whereas he was second best in 14 matches. Adamu has 26 knockout wins in his name.
Adamu said, ‘I will make full use of my experience and try to read the game of Vijender. Before all the fighting, I assess my opponent’s strengths and weaknesses. Vijender is well aware that this fight is not going to be easy for him. I will show them a masterclass fight, which he has never seen before. ‘
