Apple launches latest M4 iMac desktop in new colors

Apple has finally launched the latest edition of the iMac, powered by the new M4 chip, which promises improved speed and performance inside an ‘all-in-one’ package. With an ultra-thin design, vibrant colours and advanced hardware, this 2024 desktop is designed to deliver faster productivity and advanced AI features through Apple Intelligence.

With this launch, iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 updates are also being launched. Pre-orders for this have also started, which will be available with general availability from November 8. The company has kept the starting price of the new iMac at Rs 1,34,900.

Apple M4 iMac 2024 Features

Apple says the big new upgrade to the M4 chip 2024 refresh makes the new iMac up to 1.7x faster for daily tasks and 2.1x faster for heavy-duty tasks like photo editing and gaming, though this is compared to the 2021 M1 model.

Apple said the 16-core Neural Engine enhances AI-driven workflows and with 16GB of integrated memory by default across the line-up, it is built from the ground-up for Apple intelligence.

The Apple iMac has a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display like its previous model, but this time you also get the option of nano-textured glass to reduce glare. Customers can choose it in seven vibrant color options, including green, yellow, orange, pink, violet, blue and silver, giving the desktop a new, expressive look.

Each iMac also comes with matching accessories, including the Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse (or optional Magic Trackpad), which now feature USB-C connectivity. The Apple M4 iMac has four Thunderbolt 4 ports for faster data transfers and seamless connections to external devices, including two 6K displays. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are available in this generation.
