OpenAI’s new search engine ChatGPT Search launched
To compete with Google and Bing, OpenAI has added a new search feature to ChatGPT. This new feature called ChatGPT Search is based on GPT-4, which has been introduced after several prototypes like SearchGPT.
Search can be used manually on the chatbot, as well as it can be started from the web search icon. This includes links to news and blogs. Apart from this, the ‘Source’ button provides a complete list of references, which will help in verifying the information.
The tech company claims that this will make it easier to find accurate information. This new feature is being launched for paid subscribers and will also be available to free users in the coming months.
ChatGPT was publicly unveiled in 2022
OpenAI unveiled ChatGPT to the world in November 2022. This AI tool has gained popularity rapidly. From writing music and essays to writing code, ChatGPT can do many things. It is a conversational AI. An artificial intelligence that answers you like humans.
Big tech companies like Microsoft have invested more than $13 billion in OpenAI. The company has also integrated ChatGPT in its search engine ‘Bing’. Many companies are also eager to use ChatGPT. In such a situation, the use of this AI-based chatbot is expected to spread much more in the coming days.
Critics say that the increasing use of AI will create problems for people. Jobs will be lost, people’s dependence on it will increase and perhaps a day will come when humans leave the work of thinking completely to AI. Sam Altman does not deny this danger. However, he says that it is difficult to imagine a world where the human brain is not needed.
