Services across sectors impacted globally due to Microsoft cloud outage

Microsoft’s cloud servers suffered a technical glitch on Friday. Due to this, the work of airlines, TV telecast, banking and many corporate companies has been affected worldwide. Users reported problems in check-in and ticket booking at airports around the world, including India, due to which flights are either delayed or cancelled.

In India, 5 airlines – Indigo, SpiceJet, Akasa Air, Vistara and Air India Express said that their booking, check-in and flight update service has been affected by this technical problem. People are getting upset due to non-availability of services at the airport.

In Hyderabad and Bangalore, most corporate companies are said to be impacted by this. Systems are restarting after getting blue screen.

Microsoft’s service came to a halt due to Crowdstrike’s update

Some users of Microsoft Windows around the world are seeing blue screen on their laptops. Due to this, their systems have automatically restarted or shut down. Dell Technologies said the problem was caused by a recent CrowdStrike update. CrowdSrike is a cybersecurity platform that provides security solutions to users.

CrowdStrike’s update is also causing problems in Microsoft’s Azure cloud and Microsoft 365 services. Microsoft said, “We are aware of the problem and have deployed several teams to resolve it. We have found the cause.” This has affected only those users who use Microsoft Azure.
