Users face issues in digital transactions as UPI services go down

Outage was reported in Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services across the country. Apart from this, the services of more than 10 banks were also reportedly affected. However, the reason for this technical glitch has not been revealed.
According to Downdetector, users were facing problems in making payments through UPI since 7 pm on Wednesday evening. More than 23,000 users complained and said that fund transfer, payment and login access is not happening.
Services of more than 10 banks including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, HDFC, Axis were impacted.
National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) said, ‘Users have faced temporary technical problems, due to which UPI was partially interrupted. Now these problems have been resolved. The system has become stable.’
NPCI had faced intermittent technical issues owing to which UPI had partial decline. The same has been addressed now and the system has stabilised. Regret the inconvenience.

82% people were facing problems in making payments according to Downdetector. At the same time, 14% people were facing problems in fund transfer and about 5% are facing problems in accessing the app.
