Achom Tapas wins first gold for Uttarakhand at National Games 2025

Achom Tapas won the first gold medal for Uttarakhand in Wushu’s Taolu competition. Achom is originally from Imphal district of Manipur and has been working in Dehradun for the last one year. Achom’s father Achom Iravant Singh is a teacher in a government school and mother Achom Brojeshwari Devi is a housewife.
Achom is overjoyed on winning the gold medal for Uttarakhand. He said that more and more youth in Uttarakhand should learn the technique of Wushu competition, so that they can bring glory to Uttarakhand at the national and international level.
Uttarakhand opens medal tally with bronze
Jyoti, a resident of Bageshwar in Uttarakhand employed in the Uttarakhand Police won the first medal for Uttarakhand at the 38th national games. She has been training in Wushu with her coach Anjana Rani for a long time. Recently, Jyoti Verma won the gold medal in the World Senior National Championship held in September 2024, while Jyoti also participated in the last Goa National Games. Now she has won the bronze medal in the National Games 2025.
