Cabinet minister Prem Chand Aggarwal resigns from his post
Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Prem Chand Aggarwal resigned from his post today. He reached the CM residence and handed over his resignation to Chief Minister Dhami. He had earlier informed about this by holding a press conference. He became emotional in the press conference. At the same time, he told about his struggle and contribution in the state movement.
He said that he had also given clarification in the House on the same day on the statement he had given in the House. He said that, ‘My feelings were not wrong at all. I am an old party worker. I was born in Uttarakhand. Such an atmosphere was created on social media by some people. I have also been an agitator, but today I have to prove that we have also contributed to the state. But I am very hurt by the kind of atmosphere being created today. That’s why I am resigning.’
He was being continuously opposed after his remarks against the hill people in the House during the budget session. Many organizations and opposition parties were demanding his resignation.
