Change in night curfew timings; non essential shops to be closed after 2 P.M as per new guidelines
In Uttarakhand’s urban areas, after two o’clock in the afternoon every day, the markets will be closed except for essential services. Also, the night curfew will also be implemented from seven o’clock in the evening instead of nine o’clock at night. The above orders will be implemented from Wednesday itself. As the Covid infection is becoming uncontrollable, the strictness of normal life is also increasing. In this sequence, the government has now decided to close all markets other than essential services in all the urban areas of the state after two o’clock in the afternoon.
According to the order issued by Chief Secretary Omprakash, the night-time curfew will also be implemented in the entire state from seven in the evening. Earlier, it was scheduled for nine o’clock at night. The curfew will continue till five in the morning. The entire Covid curfew will remain in the entire state on Sunday. Travelers coming from outside during the curfew, those who are married, will be allowed to come according to the pre-determined condition. Similarly, citizens of other states will now have to pre-register on the Dehradun Smart City website to enter Uttarakhand.
Also, an RT PCR negative report within 72 hours has to be submitted. Citizens of the state returning to their homes from other states will also have to register in the same way, although the mandatory screening of Covid has not been done for them, they will have to be quarantined at their home. Here, the government has authorized the District Magistrate for this, prohibiting the sanction of holidays of district level personnel directly from the directorate level. All the above orders will be in force today i.e. from Wednesday, 21 April.
On Tuesday, 3012 new corona patients were found and 27 infected people died in Uttarakhand. With this, the total number of corona infected in the state has reached 1,29,000. While the death toll has reached 1919. The number of active patients is increasing rapidly due to the ever increasing infection of the state. According to the Health Bulletin released on Tuesday, the total number of patients admitted in state hospitals and staying in Home Isolation has reached 21 thousand. Although on Tuesday, 737 people admitted to various hospitals were discharged after recovering, but the pressure of the hospitals could not be reduced at all due to getting more than three thousand new patients.
