Chardham Yatra 2025: IRCTC to provide platform for helicopter booking
During the Chardham Yatra, the vigilance will keep a close watch on those who black market and commit fraud in the heli tickets of Kedarnath. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to monitor it through vigilance. The state government will take strict action against those who black market tickets.
There is a scramble for Kedarnath heli tickets in the Chardham Yatra. Despite online booking through IRCTC, there are complaints of black marketing of tickets. Last year also it was reported that tickets were sold to some pilgrims at high prices. In view of this, this time the state government has taken strict steps. Chief Minister Dhami directed that monitoring will be done through vigilance to stop the black marketing of heli tickets.
Heli service is operated from Guptkashi, Phata and Sirsi helipads for Kedarnath Dham. In which helicopters of Pawan Hans, Himalayan Heli, Trans Bharat, Global Vectra, Thumby Aviation, Kestrel Aviation, Aero Aircraft operate. Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority has completed preparations for the heli service. Apart from this, standard operating procedures will be strictly followed in operating the heli service.
