Climate Change: Temperature in Uttarakhand 4 degree above normal in November
Due to lack of rain in the state, the minimum temperature in the plains is being recorded four degrees Celsius above normal, due to which the cold is not felt even in the first fortnight of November.
The minimum temperature of Doon and Udham Singh Nagar was recorded four degrees above normal on Monday at 16.2 and 16.4 degrees Celsius respectively. The minimum temperature of hilly areas like Mukteshwar and Tehri also remained two degrees Celsius above normal. Due to this, the cold that should be felt in these areas is not being felt this time.
According to the report received from the Meteorological Center, the weather is likely to remain dry in the coming four days. There is a possibility of fog and mist in the morning in the plains of Dehradun, Roorkee, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar. Bright sunshine is expected in the hilly areas in the afternoon. The maximum temperature of Doon was 27.8, one degree Celsius above normal and the minimum was 16.1, 4 degrees Celsius above normal.
Monsoon retreated on October 3, there has been no rain since then
This time, after the monsoon left Uttarakhand on October 3, there has been no rain in the plains, due to which the temperature is still above normal.
According to the Director of Meteorological Center, Bikram Singh, there are chances of fog and mist in the morning in the plains including Doon. The weather may remain dry in other districts. There are chances of a slight drop in temperature at some places. At present, there is no chance of rain in the state.
