CM and Governor flag off the first group of devotees for Hemkund Sahib Yatra 2025

The yatra to the world famous Shri Hemkund Sahib in Uttarakhand has been formally inaugurated. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Governor Gurmeet Singh flagged off the vehicles of the first batch of Hemkund Sahib in Rishikesh on 22 May. The doors of Shri Hemkund Sahib will open on 25 May this year. The Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib Trust along with the government has completed all the preparations for opening the doors of Hemkund Sahib.
On Thursday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Governor Gurmeet Singh reached Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib in Rishikesh. In the Gurudwara premises, President Narendrajit Singh Bindra along with the members of the management committee gave a grand welcome to the Chief Minister and the Governor. The Chief Minister and the Governor bowed their heads in the Darbar Sahib of the Gurudwara and prayed for the success of the yatra. After which the Chief Minister and the Governor flagged off the vehicles of the first batch of about 500 devotees going on the yatra of Shri Hemkund Sahib Dham, led by the Panch Pyaras, and sent them on the yatra route.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the Shri Hemkund Sahib Yatra, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that devotees from not only the country but also from abroad come to visit Shri Hemkund Sahib. The government has made such arrangements so that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience on the travel route.
