CM announces the change in the names of various places located in Haridwar, Dehradun, Nainital & US Nagar districts
Chief Minister Dhami announced the change in the names of various places located in Haridwar, Dehradun, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts.
The Chief Minister said that the change in the names of various places is being done in accordance with public sentiment and Indian culture and heritage. So that people can take inspiration from the great men who contributed to Indian culture and its preservation.
According to the announcement of the Chief Minister, in Haridwar district, Aurangzebpur has been renamed as Shivaji Nagar, Ghaziwali as Arya Nagar , Chandpur as Jyotiba Phule Nagar, Mohammadpur Jat as Mohanpur Jat , Khanpur Kursali as Ambedkar Nagar, Indrishpur as Nandpur, Khanpur as Shri Krishnapur, Akbarpur Fazalpur as Vijaynagar.
In Dehradun district, Miyawala has been renamed as Ramji Wala ,Peerwala as Kesari Nagar , Chandpur Khurd as Prithviraj Nagar, Daksh Nagar as Abdullah Nagar.
In Nainital district, Nawabi Road’s will know be known as Atal Marg and Panchakkki to ITI road will be renamed as Guru Gowalkar Marg in Haldwani.
In Udham Singh Nagar, it has been announced that Nagar Panchayat Sultanpur Patti will be renamed as Kaushalya Puri.
