DA hike in Uttarakhand: CM gives approval to proposal
More than three lakh government employees and pensioners of Uttarakhand are soon going to get the gift of four percent increased dearness allowance. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the proposal on Monday. On Tuesday, the Finance Department may issue a mandate in this regard.
For a long time the employees and pensioners of the state were demanding 4 per cent increased dearness allowance. On Monday, CM Dhami accepted it and forwarded the file. After the issue of its mandate, the dearness allowance will increase from 38 percent to 42 percent in the state.
The cabinet had authorized Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to take a decision on increasing the DA of the personnel. State President of State Employees Joint Council Arun Pandey expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for approving the proposal of dearness allowance. He said that with this, like the central employees, the state employees and pensioners will also get four percent more dearness allowance.
