Government issues new SOP guidelines for Chardham Yatra
The Uttarakhand government has issued a new guideline for Char Dham Yatra. The High Court on Tuesday gave relief in travel restrictions. After this, a new SOP was issued by the Uttarakhand government. Now registration and Covid investigation on Dehradun Smart City Portal is necessary. Apart from this, there is no compulsion of e-pass for the pilgrims. While directing the officials regarding Chardham Yatra, Commissioner Garhwal said that now no pilgrim who does not have the information of registration in the Smart City Portal. Passengers will be able to register themselves free of cost at Rishikesh and Haridwar railway stations and bus terminals.
Apart from this, free covid screening of passengers will also be done. For this, orders have been issued to open registration centers in Haridwar and Rishikesh with immediate effect. Along with this, the District Magistrates of Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi have been instructed that the pilgrims who had already arrived for darshan from Guptkashi, Phata, Sonprayag and Gaurikund should be sent for Kedarnath Darshan after Covid investigation.
Similarly, the district magistrates were instructed to allow pilgrims to go to Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri for unhindered. In the meeting, the Transport Department has been directed to Municipal Corporation Rishikesh for cleanliness, sanitization in Chardham Yatra Bus Terminal. Directed the Devasthanam Board to make the Seasonal Help Desk more active.
