GST collections increase by 11.65% in Uttarakhand in the financial year 2024-25

Uttarakhand has increased SGST collections by 11.65 percent in the financial year 2024-25. Due to this, the state government has got a revenue of 9264 crores. Whereas revenue of 2541 crores has been received from non-GST.
State Tax Commissioner Dr. Ahmed Iqbal said that the biggest contribution to the revenue of the state is from the State Tax Department. In the financial year 2024-25, which ended on March 31, Uttarakhand has increased SGST by 11.65 percent as compared to the previous year. Instructions were given to work on the action plan to achieve the revenue target in the new financial year 2025-26.
He informed that 4648 traders of the state have applied under the interest and penalty waiver scheme of the Central Government. Only those traders will get the benefit of this who have deposited the basic tax amount from the outstanding amount. Under the special campaign which ran for 10 days across the state, an amount of 21.95 crores was deposited from the GST defaulters. Whereas action was taken to suspend the GST registration of 3195 traders.
