Helicopter services to Bageshwar, Mussoorie, Nainital to start soon
Heli service will start for three new cities of the state by the end of this month. Air services will start from Dehradun to Bageshwar, Mussoorie and Nainital. Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) has started preparations for this. Air service can be started for all three places after the code of conduct of civic elections is lifted.
The process of completing all the formalities with private heli companies to start air service for Bageshwar, Mussoorie, Nainital is being finalized by UCADA. The fare for all three places will also be fixed soon.
Along with this, helipads are being prepared in Bageshwar and Nainital. Pawan Hans has been selected for Bageshwar from Dehradun and Heritage Aviation Company for Nainital. Starting air service for three places will also promote tourism and pilgrimage. Helicopters will also help in rescue and relief operations during disasters.
