IAS, PCS reshuffle in Uttarakhand

There has been a major administrative reshuffle in Uttarakhand. The government has transferred 33 IAS and 24 PCS officers. The Pushkar Singh Dhami-led government issued two separate orders late night and approved the transfer of 57 officers. The order states that all the officers are transferred with immediate effect. In such a situation, the officers will have to join the new posting soon.

The charge of the Water Resources Department has been taken away from 1992 batch officer and Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan and this responsibility has been given to 2003 batch officer Dilip Jawalkar who was earlier serving as the Secretary of Finance, Election and Cooperative Department. He has now been relieved of the responsibility of Secretary of the Cooperative Department. Indian Forest Service officer Parag Madhukar was working as the Chief Secretary of the Water Resources Department till now. He has also been relieved of this responsibility and made Special Secretary of the Minority Welfare Department.

Collector of Pauri Garhwal changed

2012 batch officer Ashish Kumar Chauhan was the District Magistrate of Pauri Garhwal till now. He has now been transferred from this post and made the Director of Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority. He has also been given the responsibility of Sports and Youth Welfare Department. In place of Ashish Kumar, 2012 batch officer Swati S Bhadauria has been made the District Magistrate of Pauri Garhwal. Swati was earlier handling the responsibility of Additional Secretary to the Governor, Language, Technical Education and Irrigation Department. In place of Swati, 2013 batch officer Reena Joshi has been made the Additional Secretary to the Governor.

Champawat, Uttarkashi District Magistrates also changed

2015 batch officer Navneet Pandey has been transferred from the post of District Magistrate of Champawat. He has been made Additional Secretary of Personnel and Vigilance Department. 2016 batch officer Saurabh Gaharwar has also been transferred from the post of District Magistrate of Rudraprayag and given the responsibility of SIDCUL management. He will also serve as Chief PMGSY Officer of Uttarakhand. 2016 batch officer Meherban Singh Bisht has also been transferred from the post of Uttarkashi District Magistrate and appointed Additional Secretary of Energy and Cooperation Department.
