Janmashtami holiday 2022: Uttarakhand government declares holiday on this date

The Government of Uttarakhand has moved ahead the Janmashtami 2022 holiday by one day. Secretary-in-charge Vinod Kumar Suman told that according to the Hindu calendar, information has been received that the festival of Janmashtami will be celebrated on August 19, 2022. In such a situation, it has been decided to celebrate Janmashtami on 19th August instead of 18th August.

He said that according to the decision of the government, instead of August 18, 2022, August 19, 2022 is declared a public holiday for the festival of Janmashtami. Earlier on August 18, a public holiday was declared on the festival of Janmashtami.
