Land circle rate increased in Uttarakhand after 3 years

Informing about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting, Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu said that the average increase in the circle rate is 33.6 percent. The rate of agricultural land has increased by 32.47 percent and that of non-agricultural land by 34.83 percent.

He informed that there are 86 percent areas in the state where the circle rate has increased by less than 50 percent. The circle rates have been increased by 50 to 100 percent in nine percent areas and by 100 to 300 percent in five percent areas.

He informed that the average circle rate in the state has increased 20 times since the establishment of the state. 1700 crore revenue will be received this year after the increase in the circle rate. All revenue villages have been linked through GIS mapping. Efforts have been made to remove anomalies in circle rates. He told that due to the increase in sale and purchase of land in the hilly districts, the circle rate has been increased by about 15 percent.
