New dates for three-tier panchayat elections in Uttarakhand announced

New dates for the three-tier panchayat elections in Uttarakhand have been announced. According to the State Election Commission, the panchayat elections will be held in two phases. Voting for the first phase will be held on July 24, the second phase on July 28 and the counting of votes will be done on July 31, 2025.

The nomination process will start from July 2 and will continue till July 5. As per the dates, candidates will be able to fill their nomination papers within the stipulated time. The District Magistrate will issue the election notifications on June 30. Along with this, the model code of conduct has also come into effect in the state, which will remain in force till the completion of the election process.

The district administration has started preparations for the panchayat elections. The State Election Commission has directed all the districts to complete the preparations on time. Extensive security arrangements are also being made to conduct the election process in a peaceful and fair manner.

With the announcement of the elections, political activity has intensified. Various parties and potential candidates have started making public relations and campaigning strategies at their own level.
