Relief and rescue mission continues for third day in disaster hit areas of Uttarkashi
Mud debris caused massive destruction in Dharali and Harshil areas of Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand. Relief and rescue operations through helicopters are going on in full swing for the third day to save the people trapped in Dharali and Harshil. This disaster was so terrible that it swept away many houses, and ruined the lives of people in an instant.
Rescue by helicopter, Matli helipad becomes support
Helicopters are continuously flying from Matli helipad in Uttarkashi, which are safely evacuating people trapped in the disaster-affected areas of Dharali and Harshil. The rescued people are being brought to Matli helipad, from where full arrangements have been made to take them to their destination.
SDRF’s alertness, use of modern equipment
The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) left no stone unturned in the rescue work. They are using state-of-the-art equipment such as victim locating camera and thermal imaging camera. Apart from this, the dog squad is also engaged in searching for the trapped people.
