Uttarakhand again records over 7000 new cases, above 100 deaths in last 24 hours

In Uttarakhand coronavirus cases have increased once again today, a total of 7120 people have been found infected in 24 hours. It is also sad that 118 people have died in the last 24 hours in Uttarakhand. In the last 24 hours, 4933 people have returned home after recovering in Uttarakhand. With this, 256934 people have been found coronavirus infected in Uttarakhand so far out of which 171454 people have become healthy.

Situation turning worse in hill districts
The corona situation is rapidly deteriorating in Uttarakhand. The worrying part is that cases are coming from far interior and remote regions of the state where there is a huge lack of medical facilities. As per the health bulletin report on 11 May out of the 897 sample reports received in Pauri district, 329 were positive. Similarly, Pithoragarh had 165 positive cases out of 437, 368 cases in Rudraprayag out of 1076 and 302 positive cases in Almora out of 614 which equates to nearly every second sample in Almora being positive for Corona.
A total of 29650 samples were sent for testing today, while report of 24977 samples is awaited.
