Uttarakhand becomes first state to introduce smart classes in govt schools
Uttarakhand has become the first state in India to introduce virtual classes in government schools. This will benefit one lakh 90 thousand children in 500 schools. Today, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the virtual class in 500 state secondary schools of the state in a program organized at Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya Nanurkheda on Saturday.
He said that at present 150 schools have been linked to it. The remaining 350 schools will also be added in the next 15 days. CM said that virtual class can also be used for career counseling, preparation for competitive examinations, motivation class, literacy, health related works. He instructed Secretary Education to make a proposal for this.
The Chief Minister said that the project was approved nine years ago, but it could not be executedThis has happened many times. Crores of rupees were sanctioned since 2014 for the purchase of the emergency vehicle 108, but vehicle’s could not be taken due to lack of decision. CM said that those who are sitting in positions should take timely decision.

Education Minister Arvind Pandey said that in view of geographical disparities, this facility will be very useful in high quality education. The state government is constantly working to improve the standard of education. Secretary School Education R Meenakshi Sundaram informed that the Virtual Classroom Program is being conducted under ICT, Information and Communication Technology under Holistic Education.
Currently it will be operated in 500 state secondary schools. Which is a great gift for the children of the state. Students of secondary schools will be able to prepare for competitive examinations through this. He said that virtual classroom technology is the latest technology. It is modern from Smart Classroom and ICT Lab.
Subject experts will teach various subjects from class six to intermediate through the Central Studio. After this, the Chief Minister interacted with the children of various virtual schools. The program was conducted by Additional State Project Director, Dr. Mukul Kumar Sati.
CM lays foundation stone of projects over 500 crore
In Dehradun today, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat laid the foundation stone of nine projects worth about Rs 572 crore in the IRDT Auditorium at Survey Chowk. These include Parade Ground Renovation, Smart Road, Smart Water Management Doon Library, Platoon Market Beautification etc.
During this time, the Chief Minister named the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) as Sadoy Doon. This center will start on December 25 on Good Governance Day. Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik said that ropeway will be built in Doon instead of Metro.
