Uttarakhand corona update: 11 new cases found on 6 December
In Uttarakhand, 11 new corona infected have been found in the last 24 hours. At the same time, no patient has died. Nine patients were sent home after recovery. The number of active patients has increased to 172.
Not a single infected was found in eight districts
According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department, on Monday, not a single infected patient was found in five districts of Bageshwar, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Tehri and Uttarkashi districts. At the same time, one each in Almora, Champawat, Haridwar, Pauri, Rudraprayag and Udham Singh Nagar, two in Dehradun and three cases in Nainital have been found.
Infection rate reached 0.11 percent
So far, the total number of corona infected in the state has increased to 344364. Of these, 330608 people have been cured. A total of 7411 people have lost their lives due to corona in the state. The state’s recovery rate is 96.01 percent and infection rate is 0.11 percent.
Health Department took 199 samples in Garhwal University
At the same time, in view of preventing the third wave of corona infection, the Health Department took samples for RTPCR examination of students, teachers and staff at the Chauras campus of HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar. Samples of 199 people were taken on the first day. Samples will also be taken on Tuesday.
The Health Department has become alert in view of the knock of Omicron in India and the fears of third wave. Under this, sampling is being done of front line workers and educational institutions. On Monday, the team of Kirtinagar Health Department took samples for RTPCR test in Computer Science department of Chauras campus of Garhwal University. Medical Officer-in-Charge of Community Health Center Kirtinagar, Dr. Aman Saini said that samples of 199 students, teachers and staff were taken in the university.
