Uttarakhand Entrepreneur conclave inaugurated

Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi inaugurated the Uttarakhand Udyam Conclave organized by the Industries Department in Dehradun today (March 26). Addressing the program, Chief Secretary Smt. Raturi said that special focus should be placed on increasing the participation of women in the workforce. She praised the Industries Department for the continuous increase in the contribution of MSMEs to the state’s GDP. Talking about Uttarakhand’s Global Investors Summit’s Peace to Prosperity, CS said that the environment in Uttarakhand is industrial friendly and out of the MoUs worth three lakh crores in the Global Investors Summit, ninety thousand crores have been grounded. Praising Uttarakhand’s strategic investment plan, she called it a benchmark for the state. She praised the innovations of the Industries Department like U Hub Investor Mitra and Transport Subsidy. She encouraged the department to list small industries so that they can get more investment at the global level. While discussing the achievements of Uttarakhand in the industrial sector, she said that Uttarakhand is included in the Top Achiever category in the Ease of Doing Business of the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, and in the Startup Ranking, Uttarakhand ranks first among the Himalayan states in terms of exports.
Ankita Pandey, Director MSME Ministry discussed dispute resolution for delayed payments. Entrepreneurs of Start Up Grand Challenge were awarded in the program. Hanumant Rawat, Advisor, Setu Commission, said that ‘through sustainable development, the competitiveness and sustainability of small industries can be increased by taking advantage of the geographical conditions of the state. Along with this, a workshop was also organized along with the launch of the Ramp scheme in Uttarakhand in the program. With the launch of the World Bank-funded Ramp scheme in the state to improve the performance of MSME units, our products will be more competitive at the global level’. Uttarakhand has received a budget outlay of Rs 100 crore under Ramp. Ramp Portal and Export Portal were launched in the program. Along with this, a booklet on Gati Shakti was also launched.
