Uttarakhand Premier League 2024 to begin from September 15
The dates of UPL (Uttarakhand Premier League) have been announced. UPL (Uttarakhand Premier League) organizers Uttarakhand Cricket Association and SSpark Sports shared information in a press conference. Punjabi singer and former cricketer Hardy Sandhu will perform at the opening ceremony of Uttarakhand Premier League. CM Dhami will attend the program as the chief guest. Apart from this, all the matches of Uttarakhand Premier League can be seen on the OTT of Sony Channel. Entry will be free during the match at Dehradun Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
Uttarakhand Premier League in Uttarakhand will be played from 15 to 22 September 2024 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Dehradun. Uttarakhand Premier League UPL, which is going to be held on the lines of Indian Premier League IPL, will be organized grandly. Uttarakhand Premier League UPL is going to be organized by Uttarakhand Cricket Association CAU and SSpark Sports Company.
Giving information to journalists at a hotel located on Rajpur Road, CAU Secretary Mahim Verma said, a total of 16 matches of women and men’s team will be played in the league which will run till 22 September.
In the first edition of UPL, matches will be played between eight teams on the lines of Indian Premier League (IPL). These include Nainital SG Pipers, Dehradun Warriors, Pithoragarh Hurricane, USN Indians and Haridwar Spring Elmas team. In this, five teams will be of men and three teams will be of women. Verma said, the men’s winning team of UPL will be given Rs 25 lakh and the runner-up team will be given Rs 15 lakh as prize. Whereas, the women’s winning team will be awarded with an amount of seven lakh rupees and the runner-up team will be awarded with an amount of three lakh rupees.
Apart from this, the Man of the Series and Women of the Series in the league will be given a high speed motorcycle and a high speed scooter by Jai Hind Electrical Vehicle Private Limited Udham Singh Nagar. All the matches of Uttarakhand Premier League can be watched on Sony Channel’s OTT. Entry will be free during the match at Dehradun Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
