Uttarakhand weather: 2 days rain bring down temperature

Intermittent rain was seen in Uttarakhand for the last two days. In Dehradun, on the second day, Saturday, a drop of six degrees was recorded in the normal temperature. Due to this, there was chill throughout the day. However, the minimum temperature at night was five degrees above normal.
The rain that started late Friday night continued till Saturday evening. If we look at the data, Dehradun received 10.2 mm of rain in the last 24 hours. While the highest rainfall of 23.2 mm was recorded in New Tehri.
This was the reason that the maximum temperature of the day here was 6.3 degrees Celsius, a decrease of nine degrees from normal. According to the Meteorological Center, the weather will remain clear from today (Sunday) to the next three days. However, there is a possibility of light rain in some areas of Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on December 29.
Highest rainfall in Koti of Tehri
Looking at the data of the last 24 hours, the maximum rainfall of 83 mm was recorded in Koti area of Tehri district. 41 mm of rain was recorded in Dhanaulti. Apart from this, 18.5 mm rain was recorded in Raiwala, 17 in Narendra Nagar, 15.5 in Rishikesh, 14.5 in Mukteshwar and 12 mm in Nainital.
