Uttarakhand weather: Snowfall and rain forecast for coming days
The weather has changed in Uttarakhand on Monday. Snowfall occurred in high altitude areas including Chakrata, Mussoorie, Gangotri, Harshil, Kedarnath. After snowfall, there is severe cold. Whereas, drizzle has increased the chill in the plains.
There is a possibility of rain in the Uttarakhand weather forecast. Rain started on Monday morning in Dehradun and other plain cities. Some snow flakes also fell in Mussoorie. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in eight districts today and snowfall is expected at three thousand meters.
Rain and snowfall has been predicted on 27 and 28 December. Whereas on 24 December, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at some places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar districts. Meteorologist Rohit Thapliyal said that the western disturbance will be active from December 27.

The Meteorological Center on Monday predicted light rain at some places in eight districts Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Dehradun, Tehri, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Almora. Snowfall may also occur in areas with an altitude of more than three thousand meters.
Tourist places of Uttarkashi are covered with snowfall
The weather changed in Uttarkashi district on Monday. Due to which there has been light rain in the lower areas and snowfall in the high altitude areas. The second snowfall of the season at the tourist places of Gangotri and Harshil Valley including the border area Mori has brought smiles on the faces of the tourists.
Yamunotri Dham and Radi Top etc. also witnessed snowfall late in the evening. Due to this, cold has increased in the lower areas. The weather in the district was bad since Monday morning. Snowfall started in villages like Harshil, Jhala, Mukhaba, Bagori etc. including Gangotri Dham by afternoon.
Snowfall in Badrinath-Kedarnath, Gangotri, Rudranath
The weather has changed in Chamoli district. Snowfall occurred on the hills of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Hemkund and Rudranath on Monday. The temperature in Badrinath has reached 5 degrees Celsius below zero.
While snowfall continues on high hills including Nandadevi Kamet. The cold has increased due to the fall in temperature. Due to light snowfall in the high Himalayan region, cold wave is blowing in the lower areas, causing severe cold.
