Uttarakhand weather update: Heavy rain alert for these 4 districts on Sunday
The Meteorological Department, Dehradun has issued a weather alert for Uttarakhand till July 9 including tomorrow i.e. Sunday, July 6. According to the alert issued, heavy to very heavy rains have been predicted in 3 districts of Garhwal division and one district of Kumaon division.
Heavy to very heavy rain alert in Uttarakhand
The districts in which the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rains include 3 districts of Garhwal division, Dehradun, Rudraprayag and Tehri Garhwal. The district of Kumaon division where heavy to very heavy rains will occur is Bageshwar. There will be lightning along with thunder in these districts. There will be intense to very intense spells of rain here. It will also rain in the remaining 9 districts of Uttarakhand. There will be lightning along with thunder in these districts and there will be heavy spells of rain.
Weather alert issued till July 9
Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a weather alert for July 7, 8 and 9. The weather pattern on July 7 will be the same as on July 6. The monsoon will expand further on July 8. On this day, there will be rain in the entire state with heavy to very heavy rain alert in five districts of the state. On July 9, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in 4 districts of Kumaon division. These districts include Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar.
