At this time the water level of Ganga has increased. Ganga is flowing 80 meters below the warning level. After the rains, the water level of Jakhan, Saung, Suswa and Chandrabhaga rivers has also increased.
229 roads including 14 state highways closed in the state
A total of 229 roads, including 14 state highways, were closed due to debris and boulders on the roads after heavy rains. On Monday, 86 roads could be opened. 297 JCB machines were engaged in the work of opening the roads. Due to incessant rains, the work of opening the roads is facing difficulties.
According to the report released by PWD, 14 state highways, 7 main district roads, 9 other district roads, 73 rural roads and 126 PMGSY roads are closed in the state. Major closed state roads include Kamad-Ayarkhal motorway, Lambgaon-Ghansali, Rudraprayag-Pokhari Gopeshwar road, Birhi-Gauna motorway, Tharali-Dewal-Van road, Karnprayag-Kandara-Sonla road, Gauchar-Sidauli motorway, Tehri-Ghansali-Tilwara road, Khirsu-Khankara motorway etc. are included.
