Weather change forecast in Uttarakhand from March 14 to 17

The weather is forecast to change in Uttarakhand. Strong western disturbance will remain active in the state from today, March 14, i.e. Holi day, till March 17. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain, hailstorm and snowfall in many districts. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert regarding this. Meteorological Director Dr. Bikram Singh said that on March 14, strong 50 to 60 kilometers per hour winds could be seen in Dehradun, Haridwar and Nainital. Hailstorms can occur along with lightning in hilly areas. Snowfall is likely in areas above 3200 meters. Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh are forecast to receive light to moderate rain. Light rain is possible in some places in the remaining districts.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in the state for three days. There is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning on 14, 15 and 16 March. Snowfall may also be seen in some areas. Such conditions are seen developing in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal, Dehradun, Pauri Garhwal, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital and Haridwar.
