Weather changed in Uttarakhand, rain alert in hilly areas
The weather is likely to change in the state. As per the forecast on May 20, there may be light rain at some places in the hilly districts of Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. There may be lightning at some places here, strong winds may blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour.

On Monday, there was torrential rain in Pipalkoti and Gopeshwar areas of Chamoli district. While Uttarkashi and Kedarnath remained cloudy. The temperature in Haridwar, Roorkee, Udham Singh Nagar was recorded three degrees above normal.
Monsoon may arrive in June
The Meteorological Department has predicted the arrival of monsoon in Kerala on May 27. In such a situation, monsoon may arrive in Uttarakhand between June 15 and 20.
