Badrinath Portals to open on May 10 2019
The gates of Shree Badrinath Dham will be opened for the summers 2019 on May 10 at 4.15 a.m. After the Panchang and Ganesh idol worship in Rajmahal situated at Narendranagar (Tehri), Pandit Krishna Prasad Uniyal on behalf of the Maharaja declared the date of opening of the portals. At the same time, the ritual of Abhishek Pooja in Badrinath Dham will be completed in the palace on April 24.
On Sunday morning, on the occasion of Vasant Panchami, darshan puja began in Narendranagar Rajmahal around 10.30 in the morning. Shreeja, the daughter joined as a representative of Maharaja Manjuendra Shah in Pooja. Pooja lasted for about an hour and after this, Pandit Krishna Prasad Uniyal declared the date of opening of the portals. On April 24, there will be a tradition of oiling. This ritual fulfills the happiness in the presence of members of the Raj family.
Bhavishya Badrinath to open on same day
The portals of Bhavishya Badri Dham, situated in Subhai village of Chamoli district, will also be opened with Badrinath Dham on 10th May at 4.15 a.m. for summer. According to tradition, the Bhavishya Badri Temple in Panch Badri is opened and closed along with the kapat at Badrinath Dham. Sushil Dimri, the priest of the Bhavishya Badri Temple, told that after the opening of the gates, other puja will be completed along with the with Vishnu Sahastranama.
