Helicopter crashes in New York’s Hudson River

A helicopter flying for a tour crashed into the Hudson River in New York on Thursday, killing a total of six people, including five members of a Spanish family. The dead included three children and the helicopter pilot. The tragic accident occurred when the helicopter was flying near Manhattan.
As per reports, the helicopter, which was a Bell 206 model, took off from the Skyport at around 3 pm and reached the George Washington Bridge along the Manhattan shore. After this it turned back but lost control and fell into the water near Hoboken Pier in New Jersey.
According to New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, NYPD and FDNY divers pulled all six people out of the water. Four people died on the spot, while two others were taken to the hospital, where they died.
