PM Modi will visit Russia to attend the BRICS summit. According to the press release of the Ministry of External Affairs, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Russia at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the 16th BRICS summit being held in Kazan. According to the information given by the Ministry of External Affairs, PM Modi will be on a visit to Russia from 22-23 October 2024.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement that during his visit, the Prime Minister is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts and invited leaders of BRICS member countries in Kazan. The theme of this year’s summit is “Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Growth and Security”.

This platform will provide an important platform for the leaders to discuss key global issues. Along with this, the ministry said, “The summit will provide a valuable opportunity to assess the progress of the initiatives launched by BRICS and identify potential areas for future cooperation.”
