Scientists stumble upon undiscovered piece of land near North Pole
Scientists have discovered a new piece of land in the sea near the North Pole. The size of this piece is as big as a football field. It is being called the last end of the land in the North Pole.
The team went to do research on the climate
According to the report of Live Science, a team of Danish scientists led by Morten Rasch went to Oodaaq Island to study glaciers and rising temperatures. This island is in the northern part of Greenland. When the scientists saw their map, the island looked different in it. When scientists searched the location with GPS, it was found that this was not there pre planned destination.
According to the report, New Island is 2560 feet north of Oodaaq Island. This island is 98 feet wide and 197 feet long. It is smaller than a football ground. It is situated at an altitude of 10 to 13 feet above sea level. It is completely made up of sea soil, moraines, clay, stones left by glaciers.
The future of the new island is not known
Morten said, this is the new island located at the northernmost end of the earth. He expressed the possibility that this new island may have been formed due to a storm. Which later went on adding the sea soil that came with the waves. He said that nothing can be said with certainty about the life of this island. It may be that after a few days this island will be buried in ice or it may break up due to weather and end up in the sea.
What will be the future of this island, at present no one knows about it. But scientists from all over the world are showing great interest in it.
